About Me
Hey there! I’m Melanie, a freelance illustrator and full-time picture maker based in St. Petersburg, Florida.
I make art as a form of self love because I feel the most myself when I’m creating. My illustrations capture the fond memories I have of my own childhood and inside them, I create of world filled with curiosity, humor, and an appreciation of the magic that exists in every day. Whether it be the sounds of the bugs at dusk, or a kind interaction between strangers. I am always looking at my life as a never-ending source of inspiration.
My illustration work has been described as bouncy, energetic, and full of warmth and humor. Some of my favorite things to draw are cats, colorful bugs, and people with vibrant personalities.
When I’m not painting in my home studio, you can find me at my local park, a coffee shop, or serving the many needs of my lovable cat, Pablo.
